  1. Go to C: Program Files Citrix Receiver StoreFront Receiver Clients. Create a Windows folder if it doesn’t exist. In the Windows folder, paste the Receiver for Windows with the version you want to set as the threshold, overwriting the existing file if one exists.
  2. On the Windows Start screen or Apps screen, locate and click the Citrix StoreFront tile. Select the Stores node in the left pane of the Citrix StoreFront management console and, in the results pane, select a site. In the Actions pane, click Manage Receiver for Web Sites and click Configure.

This procedure can be used to disable the update prompt,if the client is prompted to update the client version,when logging on to StoreFront.

Instructions

StoreFront 2.x

  1. Use a text editor to open the web.config file for Receiver for Web. This is typically located in the C:inetpubwwwrootCitrixstorenameWeb directory, where storename is the name specified for the store.

  2. Search for 'pluginassistant' and change the line item for pluginassistant enabled to false.

Citrix Receiver Storefront

StoreFront 3.x

  1. Use a text editor to open the web.config file for Receiver for Web. This is typically located in the C:inetpubwwwrootCitrixstorenameWeb directory, where storename is the name specified for the store.
  2. Search for protocolHandler
  3. Look for an entry similar to the one below. Note: Depending on the StoreFront version, the following line may vary slightly.
  4. StoreFront version 3.9 -- <protocolHandler enabled='true' platforms='(Macintosh|Windows NT).*((Firefox/((5[3-9]|[6789][0-9])|ddd))|(Chrome/((4[2-9]|[56789][0-9])|ddd)))(?!.*Edge)' skipDoubleHopCheckWhenDisabled='false' />
  5. StoreFront version 3.12 -- <protocolHandler enabled='true' platforms='(Macintosh|Windows NT).*((Firefox/((5[2-9]|[6789][0-9])|ddd))|(Chrome/((4[2-9]|[56789][0-9])|ddd)))' skipDoubleHopCheckWhenDisabled='false' />
  6. Change <protocolHandler enabled='true' to <protocolHandler enabled='false'
  7. Save web.config file and restart IIS Admin Service
